Andrew Liefländer

Andrew Liefländer is the Director of Operations for Kanttila Management, and leads the the Conductors and Stage Directors rosters of the agency.

Mr. Liefländer has over a decade of experience in Arts Administration, having worked as an Orchestral Contractor, Events Organiser and Producer, as a Music Publishing Editor, and as the Founder of the Ensemble Vitalis Orchestral Agency in Montreal. Mr. Liefländer holds a Bachelors in Vocal Performance from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Vocal Performance from McGill University, and a Master Oper from the Stuttgart Hochschule for Musik und Darstellende Kunst. He is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, such as the Arthur Redsell and Robert William Bygrave awards from the University of Toronto, and the Graduate Excellence Fellowship and Della Pergola Award from McGill University.

In addition to his work as an administrator, Mr. Liefländer has also established a career as a bass-baritone, performing both as a soloist and ensemble singer. His stage roles include Basilio in Il barbiere di siviglia, Van Bett in Zar und Zimmermann, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Sid in Albert Herring, Der Graf in Die Verschworenen, and Strephon in Iolanthe. He has appeared in concert with ensembles such as the Tallis Scholars, Tafelmusik Toronto, and the Theatre of Early Music, and has been featured as a bass soloist with ProMusica Stuttgart, Vocalkreis Stuttgart, Konzertchor Stuttgart, and the Freiburger Oratorienchor.
