Swiss soprano Hannah Beutler has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Koblenz since the 2023/24 season. In the 2024/25 season, she will appear there as Woglinde in Das Rheingold, Marzelline in Fidelio, Sophie in Werther, and Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice. During her first season at the house, she made her debut in roles including Adele (Die Fledermaus), Bellezza (Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), and Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos). In 2023, Ms. Beutler also sang Ännchen in Der Freischütz at the Ettlinger Schlossfestspiele.
Alongside her operatic work, Ms. Beutler appears regularly as a concert soloist in Switzerland and Germany. Her repertoire includes Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
She studied with Prof. Lina Maria Åkerlund at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she completed both her artistic and pedagogical master’s degrees with distinction. During her final year, she was an Erasmus student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, working with Prof. Ulrike Sonntag, with whom she continues an ongoing artistic collaboration.
