Helena Sturm

Helena Sturm is Principal Coordinator for Dance and Musical Theatre at Kanttila Management, responsible for the development, representation, and administrative direction of the agency’s dance and musical theatre rosters.

Ms. Sturm brings extensive experience as a stage performer, choreographer, dance dramaturg, and arts administrator. Born in Augsburg, she received her dance diploma in 2015 and completed her studies in Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna in 2022.

Her artistic career includes international engagements as a stage performer in opera, operetta, musical theatre, and revue, as well as work as a dance captain and choreographic assistant. She has also held dramaturgical, choreographic, organisational, and pedagogical positions for stage and video projects, international competitions, and programmes supporting young dancers.

From 2023 to 2026, Ms. Sturm led the dramaturgy office for Ballett Dortmund and NRW Juniorballett. Since the 2026/27 season, she has continued this collaboration as a guest dramaturg, while also working internationally as a choreographer and freelance dance dramaturg.

A central focus of her work lies at the intersection of dramaturgy and choreography, where she supports artistic processes conceptually, creatively, and organisationally.
