Jihoon Park

Jihoon Park, one of the most remarkable tenors of our time, recently won 1st Prize at the 2024 Eva Marton Singing Competition in Budapest and has already performed several important roles at the Korean National Opera. 

Further awards include first prize at the 2022 Korean Classical Singers Association International Competition, first prize of the Daegu International Music Competition, Grand Prize of the JW International Competition and second prize at the 2023 Mt. Fuji Shizoka opera competition, the most influential competition in Asia.

In 2024/25, Mr. Park gave his successful German debut as Don Jose in Carmen at Theater Heidelberg and was a soloist in the Opera Gala Concert, conducted by Plácido Domingo, at the Royal Opera House Muscat, Oman.

Highlights of the 2025-26 sesaon include Cavaradossi in Tosca at State Theater Saarbrücken as well as Macduff in Macbeth at Theater Osnabrück.

Mr. Park’s further repertoire includes roles such as Tito (La clemanza di Tito), Duca (Rigoletto) and Rodolfo (La Bohème), just to name a few.

In addition, Mr. Park has toured as a soloist with the major orchestras of South Korea, performing in Handel's Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle.

Mr. Park is an alumnus of the Korean National University of Art.
