Viacheslav Strelkov

Born in Ukraine, bass Viacheslav Strelkov graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv in 2011. Following his graduation, he joined the National Opera of Ukraine as a soloist. Mr. Strelkov subsequently established an international freelance career and has been working regularly throughout the European opera scene since 2022. He is currently based in Valencia, Spain.

In recent seasons, Mr. Strelkov has appeared in more than 150 opera performances across Spain, Italy, France, and Germany. His recent repertoire includes Timur in Turandot (32 performances), including productions at the Théâtre Massy and the Ancient Theatre of Taormina; the Commendatore in Don Giovanni (37 performances); Oroveso in Norma (30 performances); Ferrando in Il Trovatore (27 performances); Colline in La Bohème (28 performances); and Zaccaria in Nabucco. He also performed Ramfis in Aida at the Teatro Francesco Cilea alongside Maria Pia Piscitelli, Veronica Simeoni, and Gustavo Porta.

In Germany, Mr. Strelkov appeared as Betto di Signa in Gianni Schicchi at the Opernfestspiele Heidenheim under the musical direction of Marcus Bosch in a production staged by Vera Nemirova. He also participated in the international centenary production of Puccini’s Turandot, featuring Jackie Chan and artists including Eva Plonka, Selene Zanetti, Carlo Ventre, Ivan Gyngazov, and Irina Lungu. In this production, he performed the role of Timur and collaborated with conductors including Enrique Mazzola, Carlo Montanaro, and Valery Gergiev.

Mr. Strelkov lived and worked in Italy for two years, residing in Turin and Genoa. He speaks Russian and Italian fluently and is currently studying English and German.
