Kalle Kanttila

Kalle Kanttila is the Founder & CEO of Kanttila Management (formerly IOA Management).

Mr. Kanttila leads the agency’s strategy, roster development, and partnerships across Europe and abroad. He is regularly invited to serve on juries for international singing competitions, including the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, Competizione dell’Opera (Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow), the Panco Vladigerov International Singing Competition (Bulgaria), Concorso Lirico Salice d’Oro (Italy), the Vello Jürna Singing Competition (Estonia), the Young Singers Competition (Turkey), the Lions Singing Competition at the Immling Festival (Germany), the Zinka Milanov International Singing Competition (Croatia), and the Salvatore Licitra Competition (Milan). Mr. Kanttila also delivers workshops and masterclasses at institutions and festivals including the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, as well as in Miami, New York, Vienna, Georgia, San Francisco, Graz, Bucharest, and Helsinki.

Before founding Kanttila Management, Mr. Kanttila performed as a tenor soloist in the ensembles of the Staatsoper Nürnberg and Theater Regensburg, and appeared as a guest at the Komische Oper Berlin, National Theater Mannheim, State Opera Wiesbaden, State Opera Darmstadt, State Opera Meiningen, State Opera Karlsruhe, the Alexander Theater Helsinki, Opera Wuppertal, the Schwetzingen Music Festival, and the Savonlinna Opera Festival.

Born in Oulu, Finland, Mr. Kanttila began his musical studies at the Helsinki Conservatory of Music and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Zürich Conservatory and a Master’s degree from the University of Karlsruhe.
